MISSION STATEMENT

Fort Lauderdale Flyers Inc., South Florida’s first professional men’s volleyball team, is dedicated to promoting health, teamwork, and professional development through volleyball.

Our mission extends to fostering community engagement, supporting youth sports initiatives, and providing a competitive platform for local athletes to excel.

The Fort Lauderdale Flyers were established in 2023 with a vision to create a premier volleyball organization that embodies excellence, sportsmanship, and community engagement. Founded by Clayton Adkins, a passionate advocate for volleyball and youth development, the Flyers quickly grew from a small local team into a formidable presence in the volleyball community. Our journey began with a handful of dedicated athletes and has since blossomed into a robust organization that supports players at all levels.

OUR HISTORY

    • Organization was founded and played inaugural season.

    • Hosted South Florida's first ever professional men's indoor volleyball match to a crowd of 250.

    • Competed in the league wide VLA Cup, securing the Silver Bracket Championship.

    With a deep passion for volleyball and a commitment to fostering athletic excellence, Clayton founded the Flyers to provide a platform for athletes to thrive. His leadership and dedication have been instrumental in building the team’s strong community presence and guiding its success both on and off the court.

    Wysdom Batson command the role of General Manager, overseeing the Flyers' operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Her organizational skills and forward-thinking approach are key to the team’s ongoing development and success.

    As Head Coach, Alan Obrador combines his extensive coaching experience with a deep understanding of the game to lead and inspire the team. Known for his strategic mindset and ability to develop players' skills, Alan’s coaching has been pivotal in achieving the Flyers' numerous successes and cultivating a winning culture.
